About the Role




  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing construction team focused on innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective building solutions.

  • The role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in structural engineering, project management, and modern construction techniques, particularly modular and container-based systems.

  • You will be responsible for overseeing structural designs, supervising site activities, and ensuring all projects meet required engineering standards and Nigerian building regulations.



Key Responsibilities




  • Design, plan, and oversee construction projects involving modular and container-based structures.

  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure safety, stability, and engineering integrity.

  • Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.

  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to optimize construction solutions.

  • Supervise construction sites to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to approved plans.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate construction materials and methods.

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, contractors, and site performance.

  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, preferably within modular or container-based construction.

  • Proficiency in design and structural software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, Revit, or similar tools.

  • Strong understanding of construction materials, load calculations, and foundation design.

  • Good knowledge of Nigerian building regulations and safety standards.

  • Experience in project management and site supervision.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Professional certification or COREN registration is an added advantage.
