Job Summary
- The accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, preparing financial statements, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accepted standards and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor reconciliation and invoice processing.
- Oversee payroll processing, tax remittances, and statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closures.
- Monitor cash flow, forecast financial trends, and advise management on cost optimization and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Support audits (internal and external) and ensure full compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Assist in budget preparation, performance analysis, and variance reporting.
- Ensure accurate financial documentation and record-keeping for all transactions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline.
- Student member of ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
- 2–5 years relevant experience, preferably in a hospital or health industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or Tally).
- In-depth understanding of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS, and other statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
