Summary
- We are inviting applications from qualified, competent, and highly motivated candidates to fill the position of Registered Nurse / Midwife in our hospital.
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Provide safe, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients.
- Monitor patients’ condition and record vital signs accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and ward rounds.
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to patients (for Midwives).
- Assist in labour and delivery, including monitoring mother and baby.
- Educate patients and relatives on treatment plans, medications, and home care.
- Maintain proper nursing documentation and patient records.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the ward and nursing station.
- Ensure proper use and handling of hospital equipment and supplies.
- Participate in hospital trainings, meetings, and continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare workers.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Registered Midwife (RM).
- Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Must possess a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of 2 years hospital working experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be responsible, compassionate, and hardworking.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
Additional Skills Required:
- Good patient care and observation skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Basic knowledge of computer use for documentation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
