Resolve technical issues with the team on the field.
Prepare system activity and performance reports. Supervise maintenance of telecommunications equipment.
Use computer software to prepare or evaluate network diagrams and site configurations for existing facilities or new systems.
Monitor and analyze system performance, such as network traffic, security, and capacity.
Handle escalated incidents and properly document incident resolution activities with root causes.
Installation, testing, and commission of equipment to engineering specifications/drawings in compliance with customer requirements and quality standards.
Proficient in the use of Pathloss, Compass, GPS, Range Finder and Microsoft Office
Working at heights on a range of telecommunications structures including poles, towers, and masts to install antennas, feeders, and ancillary equipment
Erection and fixing of steel structures to facilitate the installation of telecommunications equipment
Termination of telecommunications cables of various types and sizes. Testing of cables for compliance with specifications.
Qualifications
First Degree or its equivalent in Electrical, Electronics, Computer engineering, Physics Electronics, Telecommunications, or any related discipline
3 - 5 years experience in the ICT/Telecommunication Sector/Industry
2 years as a Team Leader will be an added advantage
Training or Certifications in Wireless Radio Communication such as Aviat, Dragon, Cambium, Ubiquity, and Mikrotik Radios.
Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
Strong knowledge of the ISP industry and operations.
